About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at Baker Tilly Rockies LLP. As an Accounting Technician, you will play a crucial role in our tax and forward-focused firm, providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently handle periodic financial data management operations for varied clients, including preparation of payables, receivables, bank and credit card reconciliations, GST/HST returns, payroll processing, etc.
  • Prepare Compilation Engagement Reports and corporate and personal income tax returns as required.
  • Understand clients' businesses, identify and resolve data management, accounting, and tax issues, adding value to their operations.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online, other bookkeeping software, and related applications for various client services and to provide effective and efficient data management solutions.
Requirements
  • 1-4 years of experience in a full-cycle bookkeeping environment or public practice firm.
  • Strong knowledge of QBO, MS Office 365, and proficiency in other bookkeeping software and related applications.
  • Enjoys continuous challenges, working with technology, and is dedicated to ongoing learning to drive improvements in efficiency and client experience.
  • Effective communication skills with a dedication to client service.
  • Uphold high ethical standards and exemplary organizational and detail-oriented skills.
