Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Coordinator to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Unit Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient flow and ensure timely and efficient delivery of healthcare services
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Provide administrative support to healthcare teams, including scheduling appointments and tests, and preparing reports and documents
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a unit coordinator or administrative role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software
  • Knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and data protection
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration
