Job Summary:

The Chief Community Officer will lead Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics' advancement effort in the strategic development and execution of the Institute's ambitious advancement mandate. This position will report to the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for developing, leading, and implementing bespoke, ambitious, sustainable, long-term private funding strategies with the goal of diversifying the Perimeter donor base, and building ongoing donor engagement and commitment to the Institute.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to diversify the donor base and increase private funding for the Institute.
  • Lead the development of bespoke, ambitious, sustainable, long-term private funding strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, and partners.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer to ensure alignment with the Institute's overall strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement effective donor engagement and stewardship strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of advancement efforts and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Proven track record of success in fundraising and advancement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
