About the Role
We are seeking a talented and energetic lawyer to join our growing business and provide support to our various business units. As a member of our Legal Services team, you will be joining a collegial team that values the importance of supporting each other to provide the best possible service to the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in and lead commercial negotiations and bids for new construction projects of varying size and complexity, including projects in the commercial, residential, and infrastructure spaces.
- Lead and manage complex construction disputes.
- Manage and direct external counsel and consultants on disputes of varying size and complexity.
- Provide general advice and support to projects and business units.
Requirements
- 4 to 8 years of legal experience, including meaningful experience on construction and facilities management projects and disputes.
- A desire to work in the areas of construction and infrastructure.
- Strong document and file management organizational skills and experience.
- Ability to develop creative solutions to new problems and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
- A desire and ability to collaborate with professionals with different skills and backgrounds throughout the construction industry.
