Job Title: Dispatcher, Trucks

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher, Trucks to join our team at CANADA WISE DRIVING SCHOOL INC.

Job Summary

The Dispatcher, Trucks will be responsible for coordinating the activities of vehicle operators and crews, ensuring accurate time sheets, payroll, and other summaries. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll, and other summaries.
  • Maintain work records and logs, including mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses.
  • Monitor personnel workloads and locations, and dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations.
  • Process and transmit information and instructions to coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment.
  • Respond to urgent calls from individuals who find themselves in life-threatening situations and require assistance.
  • Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience.
  • Knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices.
  • Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Dispatch management service software experience.
  • Electronic mail and spreadsheet skills.
  • MS Windows proficiency.
