About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Homewood Health. As a Therapist for Mental Health and Addiction, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals struggling with complex mental health and addiction issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to inform treatment planning and guide clinical decision-making.
  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy using evidence-based practices, including CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Develop and implement discharge plans, ensuring seamless transitions to community resources.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and facilitate communication.
  • Lead group counseling and education sessions, promoting patient empowerment and self-awareness.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records, adhering to Homewood Health's policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a recognized Social Science program, with addiction-specific education.
  • Membership in good standing with the relevant regulatory college/governing body in Ontario or pursuit of relevant credential.
  • Competence in CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based approaches for treating complex mental health conditions and substance use disorders.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to facilitate and lead interdisciplinary teams.
  • Awareness of measurement-based care and its application in clinical decision-making.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and access to own vehicle, where required.
