Western 1 Drywall Ltd. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Carpenter with experience in building foundations, installing floor beams, and erecting walls and roof systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building codes and be able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 40 hours per week.
