Job Summary

Chinook School Division No. 211 is seeking a qualified Casual Bus Driver to join our team. As a Casual Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, as well as participating in various transportation-related activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a school bus safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, including during loading and unloading.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance driving skills and knowledge.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Clean driver's abstract.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and cooperatively with the public, students, and staff.
  • Good physical condition.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion.
  • Demonstrates alignment with Chinook School Division's values.
