Maintenance Supervisor II

Position Overview
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and synchronize all mechanical, electrical, process control, and instrumentation tasks within a manufacturing environment. You will be instrumental in developing, managing, and executing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, as well as overseeing inventory management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a culture of safety for all personnel and contractors within the operational unit by fostering continuous improvement towards an exemplary safety environment.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant standards and programs, including safety, environmental, quality, maintenance, and manufacturing protocols within your area of oversight.
- Guide staff development through effective hiring practices, comprehensive orientation, training initiatives, and performance evaluation.
- Plan, develop, and manage the maintenance budget effectively.
- Collaborate with various departments to achieve plant objectives, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and manage departmental financials.
- Design and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs, which encompass Hydraulics, Electrical systems, Instrumentation, Process Control, Pneumatics, Power Transmission, Welding, and Fabrication, as well as vibration analysis, balancing, alignment, oil analysis, and NDT.
- Oversee parts management and maintenance inventory programs.
- Contribute to the formulation of engineering improvement plans.
- Initiate and lead process enhancement, cost reduction, and capital project initiatives.
- Work closely with suppliers, regulatory bodies, corporate engineering teams, and project managers to achieve plant objectives.
Qualifications for Success:
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant maintenance management experience.
- Proven experience in supervising a sizable workforce.
- Hands-on experience with Hydraulics, Electrical systems, Pneumatics, Power Transmission, Welding, and Fabrication.
- Alternatively, a combination of experience and training that demonstrates the capability to fulfill the essential responsibilities of this role.
- Familiarity with company products, policies, and procedures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of plant equipment, operations, predictive and preventive maintenance practices, and CMMS systems.
- Awareness of contemporary management and supervisory methodologies.
- Demonstrated understanding of plant machinery.
- Strong organizational, budgeting, and computer skills.
- Ability to diagnose and repair machinery using blueprints, P&ID schematics, and root cause failure analysis.
- Capability to manage and direct capital and EOM planning.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related discipline.
Work Environment:
This position will be based in a dynamic manufacturing setting, requiring a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
