Maintenance Supervisor II

Job Overview
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and coordinate all mechanical, electrical, process control, and instrumentation activities within a manufacturing environment. This includes the development, management, and leadership of preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives as well as inventory management procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a culture of safety for all personnel and contractors within the operational unit by driving continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant standards and programs (safety, environmental, quality, maintenance, and manufacturing policies) within the designated area.
- Guide staff development through effective hiring practices, comprehensive orientation, training, and performance evaluation.
- Forecast, develop, and manage the maintenance budget effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve plant objectives, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and manage departmental budgets.
- Lead and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, including expertise in Hydraulics, Electrical systems, Instrumentation, Process Control, Pneumatics, Power Transmission, Welding, and Fabrication, as well as vibration analysis, balancing, alignment, oil analysis, and NDT.
- Oversee parts and maintenance programs, including inventory management.
- Assist in formulating plans for engineering enhancements.
- Initiate and lead process improvement, cost reduction, and capital project initiatives.
- Work closely with vendors, regulatory bodies, corporate engineering, and project managers to achieve plant objectives.
Qualifications for Success:
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant maintenance management experience.
- Proven experience in supervising a large team of employees.
- Demonstrated expertise in Hydraulics, Electrical systems, Pneumatics, Power Transmission, Welding, and Fabrication.
- Or a combination of experience and training that illustrates the ability to fulfill the key responsibilities of this role.
- Familiarity with company products, policies, and procedures.
- Understanding of plant equipment, operations, predictive/preventive maintenance, and CMMS systems.
- Knowledge of contemporary management and supervisory techniques.
- Proficient understanding of plant equipment.
- Strong organizational, budgeting, and computer skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery using blueprints, P&ID schematics, and root cause failure analysis.
- Capability to manage and direct capital and EOM plans.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field.
