Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Labatt Breweries of Canada. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with production personnel to provide quality assurance and ensure that all products meet our quality standards
  • Coordinate and lead quality improvement projects to identify and implement process improvements
  • Analyze micro, packaging, and analytical results to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Participate in calibration programs for control equipment and ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated
  • Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all Quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed in all departments
  • Audit technicians' performance on routine testing of product to ensure it is within specifications
  • Responsible for sample collection, equipment calibration, and ensuring that all parameters are being adhered to
  • Responsible for managing blocked beer and administration of lab services using the SAP system

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or Biochemistry
  • 2-3 years of experience in a quality function within the Food & Beverage industry
  • Good understanding of scientific principles and brewing/production knowledge
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Highly skilled in data collection and analysis to facilitate effective problem-solving
  • Well-organized self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
