Service Technician Trainee

Budds' Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Service Apprentice to join our team. As a Service Apprentice, you will work alongside licensed technicians to learn and grow as a technician.
Key Responsibilities:- Examine and diagnose vehicles to identify areas for repair
- Discuss repairs with shop foreman or service advisor to determine the best course of action
- Communicate additional service requests to service advisor to ensure seamless customer service
- Plan work procedures in cooperation with shop foreman to ensure efficient repair processes
- Provide labor time estimates to service advisor to manage customer expectations
- Monitor repair time and update service advisor regularly to ensure timely completion
- Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation to ensure quality service
- Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs to ensure accurate records
- Assist in mentoring technician trainees to share knowledge and expertise
- Attend company and OEM training to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques
- Keep current with factory technical bulletins to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards
- Understand and follow federal, provincial, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal
- Perform general shop cleaning duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment
- High school diploma
- Valid Driver's License
