Job Title: Security Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Manager to join our team at Accor Hotels. As a Security Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and assets.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Fostering a culture of safety and security within the hotel
  • Leading and guiding the security team to provide exceptional service to all stakeholders
  • Overseeing the day-to-day management of the security department
  • Ensuring overall guest and colleague safety through the implementation and review of hotel-wide security measures
  • Supervising the work of security staff from an outsourcing company
  • Implementing appropriate training methods to ensure that the entire security team is familiar with the standards and can apply them
  • Responsible for training all newly hired employees in fire safety and first aid
  • Cooperating with other hotel security agencies and law enforcement agencies and investigating all security issues
  • Acting as a liaison within the community and policing forces to maintain awareness of current security issues
  • Completing daily security reports
  • Performing lock audits as required and assisting in maintaining key control
  • Managing the departmental budget
  • Balancing operational, administrative, and colleague needs
  • Assisting guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
  • Following department policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Following all safety policies

Requirements:

  • Previous leadership experience in a similar role required
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid required
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Be knowledgeable in the use of all security equipment, i.e. radios, cameras, electronic lock systems and report any safety, security, and/or fire hazards or violations
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required
  • Must possess a professional presentation
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
