Job Title: Flat Roofer

We are seeking a skilled Flat Roofer to join our team at Y International Recruiting & Immigration Services Inc.

Job Summary:

The Flat Roofer will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining flat roofs on various buildings. This includes applying waterproof coatings, installing sheet metal flashings, and erecting scaffolding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
  • Estimate costs and materials.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in the field.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and dangerous environments.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
