Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at Y International. As a Roofing Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on various types of buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
  • Install sheet metal flashings.
  • Estimate costs and materials.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in the roofing trade.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and dangerous environments.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a large workload and overtime required. The candidate must be physically demanding and able to handle heavy loads.
