Join Our Team as a Skating Program Instructor
The City of Mississauga is looking for a passionate individual to fill the role of Skating Program Instructor. In this position, you will be tasked with guiding group ice skating sessions for participants ranging from young children to adults at various local facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct participants in skating techniques from beginner to advanced levels in groups of 4-10
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during instructional sessions
- Develop and present lesson plans in collaboration with the Lead Coach or Supervisor
- Apply the HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development in your teaching
- Deliver outstanding customer service to participants, their families, and volunteers
Qualifications and Skills:
- Background in Figure Skating, Hockey, or Recreational Skating
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team

Prospective candidates are required to complete the necessary application form and submit it as part of their application. The selected candidate will be required to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Check at their own cost.
