About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Manager to join our team at 1283831 B.C. LTD. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our meat department, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Direct and control daily operations, evaluate daily performance, and plan and organize daily activities to meet sales targets and customer expectations.
  • Staff Management: Manage a team of 3-4 staff members, assign duties, and provide guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations.
  • Merchandising and Inventory: Determine merchandise and services to be sold, implement price and credit policies, and locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale.
  • Financial Management: Plan budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and determine staffing requirements to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Customer Service: Resolve customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Recruitment and Training: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Work Setting: This role is based in a rural area, and relocation costs are not covered by the employer.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, and standing for extended periods are required.
