Job Description

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategic Business Analyst Intern to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our organization, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, analyze data, and provide recommendations to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support customized strategy development and advisory support at an enterprise and business line level, including research, analysis, and compelling strategic recommendations that solve business problems.
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of deliverables and overall objectives.
  • Assist in tracking efforts, establishing KPI reporting, and performing necessary analysis to organize information and draw actionable insights.
  • Provide updates on key program performance to stakeholders and executives.
  • Complete impact and gap analyses for project work; seeking out and consolidating stakeholder input from various business partners.
  • Create presentation decks based on predetermined guidelines to support proposals.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
  • Love to learn and envision yourself working for an international organization that heavily invests in your future.
  • Enjoy being involved in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, and competitions.
  • High level of competency with MS Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Analytical and self-motivated, with a strong achievement orientation and attention to detail.
  • Strong strategic thinking and results-focused skills.
