Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery
    • Deliver initiatives using Agile and Iterative Waterfall methodologies, ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes.
    • Communicate cross-functionally, facilitating status updates, product demos, and retrospectives.
  • Impediment Removal
    • Remove impediments to deliver outcomes and results through proactive management of external dependencies, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Team Performance Improvement
    • Continuously seek to improve team performance by promoting joint accountability for results and solving productivity issues.
    • Facilitate and engage in analytical and technical conversations across platforms and multiple levels of influence.
  • Risk Management
    • Develop and manage the detailed schedule, identify early warning indicators, and provide direction for early resolution of risks.
    • Clear escalation path for program committees.
  • Financial Management
    • Oversee financials and staffing levels to efficiently meet project delivery requirements.
    • Track value for effective decision-making.
  • Collaboration
    • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including vendors, RBC IT teams, and business partners.
  • Reporting and Risk Assessment
    • Build and present reporting for management-level presentations.
    • Ensure the completion of risk assessments and the identification and execution of contingency plans.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Undergraduate degree in Business, Technology, or Financial Services.
  • Experience
    • 3+ years of Project Management and/or Senior-level Scrum Master experience, including both Waterfall and Agile project management.
  • Skills
    • Knowledge of Agile Project Management workflows, including milestones, critical paths, product, and sprint backlogs.
    • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
    • Ability to manage projects with third-party vendors and significant technology components.
    • Knowledge of change management and risk management, working knowledge of Software development lifecycle (SDLC).
    • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Certifications
    • PMP certification or equivalent.
    • CSM - Certified Scrum Master Certification.
