About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at A&W. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of food service staff, including cooks, food service counter attendants, and food preparers.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a high level of service and quality control.
  • Operations Management
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that stock levels are maintained.
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a high level of physical activity.
    • Stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Setting
    • Restaurant environment with a focus on customer service and quality food preparation.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of professionalism.
