Job Summary

Bombardier is seeking a highly skilled Flight Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Flight Test Engineering Team, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and documentation of flight test activities for our commercial aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute flight test plans and procedures to ensure safe and efficient testing of aircraft systems and components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including System Engineering, Methods Engineering, and Flight Sciences, to ensure test plans align with program requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct flight tests and gather data to support certification and validation of aircraft systems and components.
  • Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to other teams as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree (P. Eng.)
  • 10+ years of experience in Aerospace Engineering, including Flight Test Engineering
  • Masters in Engineering/Aviation or Test Pilot School graduate
  • Understanding of Civil/Commercial aircraft certification Part 25 requirements
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project & Access)
  • Self-motivated and excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel to remote locations for short and extended periods
