Drive Process Improvement in Food Manufacturing

We're seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to support our clients' growing food processing facilities across Canada. If you excel at driving process improvement and innovation in the food industry, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects to improve manufacturing processes, develop new products, reduce costs, and increase capacity.
  • Assess and optimize food manufacturing equipment and processes to enhance performance and meet regulatory standards.
  • Develop training programs for production staff on new technologies and processes, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and improve process reliability.
  • Partner with the QA team to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering or a related field.
  • ~5 to 10 years of process engineering experience in the food industry.
  • Proven expertise in food manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful execution.
  • Experience with commissioning and start-up of automated process equipment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, with flexibility for off-hours and weekend work as needed.
