We are seeking an experienced and motivated Part-Time Professor to join our esteemed Faculty of Media, Art & Design.
Responsibilities- Cultivate a positive learning environment that embraces students' diverse backgrounds, experiences, and learning styles.
- Employ adult education principles to actively engage students in the learning process.
- Effectively utilize educational technologies to support learning, manage grades, and deliver hybrid and online courses.
- Develop curriculum that incorporates appropriate strategies and tools to assess student learning effectively.
- Ensure course and program curriculum remains current and relevant to industry standards.
- Demonstrate initiative and work independently while collaborating effectively with students, the program team, and various stakeholders.
- A relevant Diploma (a Master's Degree is preferred). A professional designation is an asset.
- A minimum of five years of recent and relevant work experience in the field of Technical Artistry.
- Proven teaching experience at the post-secondary level with a demonstrated understanding and application of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and current assessment methodologies.
- Experience participating in industry-led or community-based applied research is highly valued.
- A strong commitment to prioritizing the student experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing current technologies to support student learning and grade management.
- A proven track record of continuous professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners.
- Familiarity with the Ontario college system.
