We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Cook to join our team at Denny's Restaurants. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes to order, using a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure they are following proper food preparation and handling procedures.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
- Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
