Job Title: ECE Program Staff

WoodGreen is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated ECE Program Staff to join our team. As a key member of our Child Care & Family Services team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our group settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, implement, and supervise daily programs that promote children's learning and development, consistent with the Ministry of Education's policies and the City of Toronto's Quality Care Requirements.
  • Provide guidance, care, and support to children, their families, staff, students, and volunteers, while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Work collaboratively with full-time staff to ensure compliance with Unit and WoodGreen policies, as well as the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 and City of Toronto's AQI.
  • Set reasonable limits, provide direction, encouragement, and support to children, and recognize, deal with, and define unusual behavior.
  • Record daily attendance, receive medical information, and report to appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Ensure the daily safety, health, and hygienic conditions of children, and safely escort them outside of the centre.
  • Prepare and submit written reports on children's progress, complete assessments and developmental checklists, and inform parents about children's progress.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including sweeping, disinfecting, cleaning, and preparing lunches, as designated.
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current RECE (Registered Early Childhood Educator) Certification from CECE.
  • Valid Standard First Aid/CPR-C.
  • Health assessment, including up-to-date immunization records and TB test required.
  • RECE membership # required.
