Position Overview
As an Administrative Support Specialist for a City Councillor, you will be integral to the efficient functioning of the Council Office. Your role encompasses managing communications, facilitating events, and ensuring the organization of office operations. This position comes with a variety of benefits, including paid time off, health insurance, and retirement plan options.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform administrative functions for the Councillor's office.
- Oversee incoming communications and requests.
- Assist in composing correspondence on behalf of the Councillor.
- Maintain databases and execute data entry tasks.
- Support the planning and execution of events.
- Engage with various stakeholders as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Completion of post-secondary education with relevant administrative experience.
- Prior experience in a role supporting elected officials is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office software and familiarity with office protocols.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
Compensation: $43.18 per hour
Work Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: Civic Centre
