Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide guests through the menu, answer questions, and make recommendations to ensure a memorable dining experience.
  • Explain menu items, describing ingredients and cooking methods to enhance the guest's understanding and enjoyment.
  • Ensure guests benefit from current promotions and offers, promoting a positive and engaging atmosphere.
  • Assist the host or hostess by answering phones, taking reservations, and greeting guests.
  • Participate in the training and development of new employees, fostering a culture of teamwork and growth.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests.
  • Perform various guest services, including taking orders, serving food and beverages, and collecting payments in a timely manner.
  • Check with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any issues.
  • Verify guests' identification to ensure compliance with age requirements for alcohol consumption.
  • Clean tables and counters after guests have finished dining, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Stock service areas with supplies, such as coffee, food, and tableware, to ensure seamless service.
  • Perform cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, and tidying up the server station.
Requirements:
  • Previous serving experience is preferred but not necessary.
  • Must be Serving it Right and Food Safe Level 1 certified or willing to become certified.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
