About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at Meadow Sushi. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Kitchen Operations: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service.
  • Cuisine Specialties: Prepare and serve Japanese cuisine, including sushi and other traditional dishes.
  • Financial Benefits: Participate in gratuities and other financial benefits as part of our team.
  • Other Benefits: Enjoy a permanent work term, with the opportunity to work 30-40 hours per week, and a work language of English.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
