Senior Billing Clerk Job Description

At Dynacare, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Billing Clerk to join our team. As a Senior Billing Clerk, you will play a critical role in the processing of invoices and collection of accounts due.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze client and patient invoices to ensure accurate billing and compliance with contracts
  • Edit invoices, make adjustments to accounts, and prepare corrected invoices as needed
  • Post payments, adjustments, and transfers
  • Requisition entry for private accounts
  • Generate aging reports of outstanding accounts receivable
  • Follow up with physicians and clients on delinquent accounts
  • Collect outstanding accounts following established procedures
  • Review, investigate, and rebill outstanding unpaid claims
  • Recommend claims for write-off
  • Handle cash, including bank deposits and reconciliations
  • Reconcile non-payments and investigate delinquent or incomplete payments
  • Analyze private accounts and prepare a report of collection status for management
  • Maintain organized files for tracking purposes
Requirements:
  • 2-year community college diploma in a related field
  • 3 years of related experience in billing and finance
  • AS400 and Great Plains experience
  • Ability to make decisions, propose new ideas, and work in a steady-paced environment
