Job Title: Vice President – Clinical Research

The Advance Medical Research Institute of Canada (AMRIC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President – Clinical Research to lead our research operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the organization and providing management and administrative leadership in all aspects of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of our strategic operational plan, ensuring alignment with our vision and strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the management of our clinical research office and laboratory, ensuring compliance with regulations and risk management.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external partners to develop and implement clinical research projects.
  • Provide leadership and direction to our research staff, ensuring effective planning, oversight, and coordination of research activities.
  • Monitor progress and performance of all projects, ensuring quality of services, timelines of deliverables, compliance with regulatory requirements, and adherence to financial targets.
  • Develop and oversee internal educational and training programs and performance standards for research staff.
  • Collaborate with our CEO to develop communications collateral and facilitate collaborations in support of research efforts.
  • Ensure alignment across research, educational, and administrative components of our organization.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Health Administration (MHA), MBA, CGA, or CMA.
  • At least 10 to 15 years of work-related experience within an institution dedicated to sciences, research, post-secondary education, health services, biotech, or pharmaceutics, with 5 years in an executive-level position.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements governing clinical research, including Health Canada and US FDA regulations.
  • Superior work-related experience with project management, presentation, budgeting processes, IT and facilities management, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Strong HR management skills, including supervision, coaching, evaluation, planning, training, and motivation.
  • Ability to forge cross-functional working relationships with internal teams and external project partners, with a demonstrated ability to build partnerships and develop initiatives.
