The Advance Medical Research Institute of Canada (AMRIC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President – Clinical Research to lead our research operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the organization and providing management and administrative leadership in all aspects of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of our strategic operational plan for research operations
- Oversee the management of our clinical research office and laboratory
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and risk management
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external partners
- Support the Health Sciences North Research Ethics Board and manage the research ethics office
- Provide leadership for all aspects of pre-award and post-award grant activity
- Monitor and analyze data on our research activities and disseminate information relevant to research
- Master's degree in Health Administration (MHA), MBA, CGA, or CMA
- At least 10 to 15 years of work-related experience in an institution dedicated to sciences, research, post-secondary education, health services, biotech, or pharmaceutics
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements governing clinical research, including Health Canada and US FDA regulations
- Superior work-related experience with project management, presentation, budgeting processes, IT and facilities management, financial analysis, and strategic planning
- Strong HR management skills, including supervision, coaching, evaluation, planning, training, and motivation
