Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer / Boiler Evaporator Supervisor to become an integral part of our operations. This role is based at our evaporation facility, which has a rich history and is known for producing high-purity salt products.
Your Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
- Lead project engineering and management initiatives.
- Oversee small to medium-scale capital projects from inception to execution.
- Formulate strategies to enhance equipment reliability through Reliable Asset Management (RAM) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and profitability improvements.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and strategic plans.
- Manage Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) activities.
- Exhibit strong planning capabilities for new projects.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies regarding operational standards.
- Maintain and update capital expenditure tracking for monthly reporting.
- Foster relationships with maintenance, boiler evaporator, and operations teams to ensure effective project communication.
- Negotiate technical terms with suppliers and contractors while maintaining positive relationships.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a related field with supervisory experience.
- 4-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A minimum of 2 years in project management with cross-functional teams.
- At least 2 years of experience leading equipment/process reliability initiatives.
- Preferred qualifications include:
- Proven leadership in continuous improvement projects.
- P. Eng Certification.
- Experience in food processing or high-speed packaging environments.
- Background in data analysis and management.
