The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Recreation Leader to join our team. As a Recreation Leader, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, leading a variety of recreation and fitness programs for individuals of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging recreation programs that promote social connections and skill development
  • Lead activities that cater to diverse age groups, including preschoolers, children, youth, adults, and seniors
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe and healthy environment for program participants
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance program offerings
Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
  • Valid driver's license (Alberta), an asset
  • High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development or High Five Sport (successful completion by end of probation)
  • High Five Healthy Minds for Healthy Children (successful completion by end of probation)
  • Experience working with children, programming activities for children, and leading children in activities
  • Competencies in client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork, and leadership
Language Requirements

English is essential, with bilingualism (English and French) an asset
