Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at Northstar Janitorial Services Ltd. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Housekeeping: Make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, and clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Trash and Recycling: Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items.
  • General Maintenance: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
Work Environment

As a Janitorial Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to lift and move equipment and supplies, and work in a physically demanding role.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, permanent position.
