We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Activity Aide to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As an Activity Aide, you will be responsible for developing information materials for patients, following through on treatment programs, and maintaining supplies.

Work Setting

This role is based in a nursing home/home for the aged, providing a supportive and caring environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop information materials for patients, including educational resources and activity plans.
  • Follow through on treatment programs with patients, ensuring their needs are met and goals are achieved.
  • Maintain supplies, including equipment and materials, to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Perform general clerical duties, such as processing files and paperwork.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
