We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Indigenous Language and International Languages Educator to join our team at the York Region District School Board.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and coordinating a program that is optimal for language learning and reflects current teaching practices in Ontario. They will ensure the safety and well-being of students, develop and maintain an equitable and inclusive learning environment, and communicate student progress to administrators, parents, and students.
Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver a program that meets the needs of students and reflects current teaching practices in Ontario.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate student progress to administrators, parents, and students.
- Supervise students as assigned and perform other duties as required.
- Ontario College of Teachers Certification for credit courses.
- Qualifications in both Intermediate and/or Senior.
- Fluency in Urdu is an asset.
- Some teaching experience, preferably in language teaching.
