Pipelayer - Shallow Utility Construction Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Pipelayer to join our team at Forbes Bros. Group of Companies. As a Pipelayer, you will be responsible for the preparation, assembly, and installation of pipelines in accordance with project specifications and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble pipelines for installation, ensuring compliance with project specifications and guidelines.
- Install pipelines, including joining and aligning pipes, and ensuring proper haunch support.
- Monitor back-fill of pipe bedding to ensure proper support.
- Knowledge of Quality Control requirements for job sites and effectively aid the Foreman.
- Strong understanding of Forbes Bros. Safe Work Practices for all common work tasks, including service box installations, trenching, and pad installations.
- Mix, pour, and spread materials as required.
- Pave and rake asphalt as per specifications.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in civil construction is required.
- Working knowledge of laser level and locate equipment is an asset.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Valid Safety Certifications, including Ground Disturbance, First Aid, H2S Alive, are an asset.
- Ability to work in the field/site with travel and work hour flexibility to accommodate remote/site work schedules.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of Pre-Access D&A testing, presenting a valid Driver's License, and an acceptable drivers abstract.
