Job Summary:As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining a diverse fleet of equipment, including gas, diesel, light, and heavy-duty units. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect and diagnose equipment issues, performing repairs and maintenance as required.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, including gas and diesel engines.
- Test and verify equipment performance, ensuring it meets safety and regulatory standards.
- Operate and diagnose diesel and gasoline engines, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with federal, provincial, and local codes and regulations, ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act/Code.
- Manage and maintain required tools, parts, and supplies for each job performed.
- Complete service and equipment performance reports as required.
- Trade Certification/Red Seal as an Automotive Mechanic.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Automotive Mechanic.
- Class 5 driver's license minimum, Class 3 preferred, and CVIP license.
- Understanding of computer testing technologies.
- Ability to lift heavy machinery.
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic & electrical systems, and construction equipment.
- Welding and cutting abilities.
- Ability to work after-hours if required.
- Good communication skills.
