Job Overview

Nufloors Fernie is seeking a dedicated Flooring Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent position that requires a commitment to excellence in residential flooring installations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the flooring industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces for flooring installation
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements
  • Measure, cut, and secure underlay and padding
  • Install carpeting and resilient floor coverings
  • Prepare and install hardwood flooring
  • Assess and repair damaged flooring
  • Conduct necessary tests prior to installation
  • Prepare surfaces for new installations
  • Remove existing flooring and contaminants
  • Install carpeting on various surfaces
  • Utilize specialized equipment for carpet stretching
  • Perform various carpet installation techniques
  • Install outdoor carpets and resilient stair components
Transportation Requirements
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Vehicle provided by the employer
Physical Demands
  • Physically demanding role
  • Ability to handle heavy loads
  • Frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Good hand-eye coordination and color distinction
