Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Data Management: Ensure the maintenance and reporting of financial data in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Financial Systems Implementation: Implement financial and management information systems to improve financial operations.
  • Collaboration with Regional Management: Work with regional vice presidents and general managers to ensure financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Leadership and Management: Direct and prioritize the work of shared service administrators, responsible for data entry, payroll, accounts payable, and human resources.
  • Financial Planning: Prepare budgets for the region and its branches.
  • Financial Reporting: Present financial results to area management, including processes and procedures critical to financial operations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and identify potential control deficiencies.
Requirements
  • Experience: 7-10 years of experience in accounting and/or financial management, preferably in the oil and gas, mining, or manufacturing industry.
  • Education: CPA designation required.
  • Skills: Strong MS Office skills, specifically in Excel, and ability to articulate financial results and budgets to management teams.
