Position Overview

As a Cabinet Craftsperson at First Art Kitchens, you will play a crucial role in the creation and finishing of high-quality cabinetry and furniture. Your expertise will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and aesthetics.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Work Environment

The work environment primarily involves the furniture industry, where attention to detail and quality is paramount.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct and mentor apprentices in finishing techniques.
  • Apply various finishes such as varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to completed products.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Interpret plans, specifications, or drawings to produce high-quality articles.
  • Trim joints and assemble parts and subassemblies to create complete units, reinforcing joints as necessary.
  • Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply finishes, including laminated plastics.
