Job Summary

Docbraces Hatheway Bridgewater is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key member of our orthodontic office, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care and support in a compassionate and enthusiastic manner, building strong relationships with each patient.
  • Ensure patients receive optimal hygiene treatment based on clinical findings and their goals for comprehensive oral health.
  • Collaborate with patients to educate and improve their oral health and overall well-being.
  • Collect and review patient dental and medical history to inform treatment decisions.
  • Prepare patients for orthodontic examinations and procedures.
  • Take X-rays and follow safety protocols to ensure patient safety.
  • Examine gums for infections or gum disease and provide treatment as needed.
  • Clean teeth, polish, floss, and brush to maintain patient oral health.
  • Bond and remove orthodontic appliances and brackets.
  • Place and remove arch wires.
  • Update patient records and examination notes.
  • Perform lab duties and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Communicate with patients regarding aftercare and answer questions.
  • Travel to satellite locations as needed.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a Dental Hygienist (preferred but not required).
  • Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree program.
  • Registration and/or licensure by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within the province, in good standing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in an orthodontic office (preferred but not required).
  • Current CPR and First Aid training.
