Production Supervisor

GUR-SIM INC is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our wood products manufacturing department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality wood products while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to management, highlighting production progress, quality control issues, and any areas for improvement.
- Scheduling and Planning: Establish and manage work schedules to ensure optimal production levels, taking into account employee availability, equipment maintenance, and material supply.
- Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training and coaching to new employees, as well as arrange for external training and development opportunities to enhance the skills of existing staff.
- Inventory Management: Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies in a timely manner to prevent stockouts and minimize waste.
- Maintenance and Repair: Set up and maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and performing at optimal levels.
- Supervision and Leadership: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of 3-4 employees, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure they are meeting their performance targets.
- Quality Control: Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, working closely with the quality control team to implement changes and monitor progress.
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality. The physical demands of this role include standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in a noisy environment.
Requirements- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
- Language: English
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week
