Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Pioneer Ridge, a leading long-term care facility in Thunder Bay. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional resident care, promoting a safe and supportive environment, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve our vision of excellence in care.

About the Role:
  • Provide high-quality resident care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
  • Lead the team in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment, promoting resident independence and autonomy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
  • Support the Clinical Manager in achieving departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Current unrestricted certificate of competence as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Knowledge of long-term care legislation and regulations.
  • Experience in long-term care or gerontology, with a focus on resident-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
