Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at St. Joseph's Heritage. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor clients' health status and administer minor medical care as needed.
  • Provide programming that includes group and client-specific activities in conjunction with team members.
  • Communicate with family/caregivers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with the Family/Client Support Facilitator to ensure seamless care.

Qualifications:

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Pharmacology certificate.
  • Minimum two years experience working with older adults living with dementia and responsive behaviors.
  • Education in Gerontology, Alzheimer's Disease, or other related dementias an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Demonstrated regular attendance at work.

Condition of Employment:

  • This position is conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated.
  • Offers of employment made to external candidates are conditional upon providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination or valid medical exemption.
