About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our team at Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers. As a Junior Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in advancing our mission to promote the sector and support our members in achieving success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide data analysis, insights, and advice to support our team in advancing our strategic plan
  • Generate reports, analyzing data sources, and assisting in process improvement
  • Support various departments with data-driven insights
  • Identify data sources to support greenhouse vegetable farming in Ontario
  • Streamline and automate reports/processes to improve efficiency and maintain accuracy
  • Manage membership relationship management software, data, and reporting
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in related fields (Business Administration, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science) or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed to be equivalent
  • Comprehensive knowledge of statistical, analytical, and research methodologies
  • Ability to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts
  • Experience in creating systems queries, manipulating, managing, and maintaining databases
  • Experience managing projects from inception to completion, including developing timelines, sequencing tasks, tracking progress, and identifying and mitigating risks
  • Experience working in a network environment and/or member-based association is an asset
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams)
  • Working experience with data analytic tools (Power BI)
  • Previous work experience in agriculture or the greenhouse sector is an asset
