Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Food Preparation Worker to join our team at CHAWLAS INDIAN BISTRO AND PARTY HALL. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality meals to our guests.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school education is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience in a kitchen environment.
Work Environment

The position is set within a vibrant restaurant atmosphere, where teamwork and efficiency are key.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess food portion sizes and associated costs.
  • Design menus and calculate food requirements for meal preparation.
  • Order food and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals and individual dishes.
  • Conduct inspections of kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Provide training to kitchen staff in food preparation techniques.
  • Manage inventory records and order necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Oversee kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Organize and manage buffets and banquet services.
  • Supervise overall kitchen operations.
Work Conditions
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance is required.
  • Transportation: Candidates should have their own means of transportation.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the capacity to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods and handling repetitive tasks.
