The Opportunity

We are seeking Senior Backend Engineers to enhance our engineering team and contribute to the growth of our product. This role offers the chance to work within a high-performing backend team that supports a rapidly evolving developer tool.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and test features for our robust backend and infrastructure, adhering to a Test-Driven Development (TDD) approach.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow engineers to deliver in a fast-paced, iterative environment, balancing speed with high standards for code quality and product excellence.
  • Contribute to enhancing product effectiveness and quality, improving team velocity, and advancing continuous deployment capabilities.
  • Mentor junior engineers on your team, fostering their growth in technical skills and helping to eliminate obstacles to their independence.
  • Assist in troubleshooting product operations, security operations, and urgent engineering challenges.

Qualifications

Your Expertise:

  • A solid history of developing high-performance, high-quality, event-driven backend systems.
  • Expertise in creating cloud-based backend applications utilizing a microservices architecture.
  • Proven skills in diagnosing and resolving issues and performance bottlenecks in event-driven, microservices-oriented backends.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing high-quality Python code.
