Job Title: Project Controls Engineer

Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for construction management? We are seeking a skilled Project Controls Engineer to join our team at Kiewit.

Job Summary:

The Project Controls Engineer will play a critical role in supporting construction activities by planning, organizing, and implementing project controls systems, engineering interfaces, subcontract and materials management, purchasing, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a complete understanding of contract plans and specifications
  • Inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost-saving measures
  • Take corrective actions as needed
  • Inspect subordinates' work for compliance with contract plans and specifications
  • Develop and maintain the project master schedule using appropriate techniques and scheduling software
  • Manage document control, receive and log in new issue drawings and contract documents
  • Review new issue drawings and contract documents for change of conditions
  • Prepare monthly cost projections and quarterly cash flow projections
  • Improve project operations by recommending better methods, staffing, and procedural changes
  • Act as managing project engineer/coordinator on multiple projects
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience and education
  • Professional Engineer designation strongly recommended
  • 5+ years of experience in construction or engineering field
  • Demonstrated willingness to relocate
  • Infrastructure/Heavy Civil project experience required
