Senior RFIC Design Engineer

At Skyworks, we are seeking a highly skilled Sr RFIC Design Engineer to join our Module Design Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge RFIC circuits for our wireless module solutions.
Job Responsibilities:- Design, verify, and productize RF ICs in module solutions
- Block Level planning, design, and tape-out schedule management
- Collaborate with a team of EM Design Engineers, Lab Technicians, Validation/Optimization Engineers, Test Engineers, and Package Engineers to tackle complex RF front-end issues
- Analyze design trade-offs in cost, risk, and performance
- Guide activities across multiple functions, such as layout, verification, test, and manufacturing
- BS degree and 5+ years of experience is required. MS or PhD preferred in the area of RFIC design.
- Deep understanding of RF theories and concepts such as S-parameters, transmission lines, matching circuits, couplers, dividers, bias circuits, etc.
- Proficient using design tools such as Keysight ADS, Cadence ADE, EMX, ADS Momentum, HFSS, etc.
- Solid oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or within a team and deliver according to product requirements and schedule.
- Comprehensive knowledge of RF and wireless front-end components, systems, and various transceiver architectures.
- Experienced in RF test equipment and measurements.
- Understanding and insight into RF packaging and modeling.
- Solid knowledge of on-chip ESD protection strategies.
The typical base pay range for this role is currently CAD $77,300 - $131,800 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, and the ultimate job duties and requirements.
